Privacy Policy
Effective date: 30th June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Venrise Pty Ltd trading as Venrise (“Venrise”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. We are based in Australia and work with clients in both Australia and Europe, so this policy is designed to meet our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, please contact us at contact@venrise.com.au.
1. Who we are
Venrise provides web design, web hosting, and ongoing website support and maintenance services. For the purposes of data protection law, Venrise is the data controller of the personal information described in this policy that we collect about our website visitors, enquirers and clients.
Where we host or maintain a website on behalf of a client, we may also act as a data processor for the personal information that passes through that website. In those cases, our handling of that information is governed by our agreement with the relevant client, and that client’s own privacy policy will apply to their site’s visitors.
Our details:
– Trading name: Venrise
– Legal entity / ABN: Venrise Pty Ltd
– Location: New South Wales, Australia

2. The personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, business name, and anything you choose to tell us when you fill in a form, email us, or get in touch.
- Client and project information — details we need to deliver our services, including billing details, domain and hosting account information, and access credentials you provide.
- Website usage information — information collected automatically when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site (see Section 5, Cookies and analytics).
We do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health, racial, or political information) and ask that you do not send it to us unless it is necessary for a service you have engaged us to provide.
3. How we collect your information
We collect personal information:
- Directly from you — when you complete a form, email or call us, engage our services, or otherwise communicate with us.
- Automatically — when you use our website, through cookies and similar technologies.
- From third parties — occasionally from service providers we use to deliver our services (for example, our hosting or analytics providers), or from publicly available sources.
4. Why we use your information (and our legal bases)
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide quotes;
- provide, manage and support the services you’ve engaged us for;
- host and maintain websites and handle technical support;
- keep business, accounting and tax records;
- communicate with you about your project or account;
- improve and secure our website and services;
- send you updates or marketing communications where you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time).
Where the GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases for processing:
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the services you have engaged us for.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, run and improve our business, and keep our systems secure (balanced against your rights).
- Consent — for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to comply with our tax, accounting and other legal requirements.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function and to understand how visitors use it. This includes Google Analytics, provided by Google. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, pages visited and time spent on the site.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
6. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted third parties who help us run our business and deliver our services, including:
- Google — we use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used.
Any provider we use may only use your information to provide their services to us, and is required to keep it secure. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
7. International data transfers
Venrise is based in Australia. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from Australia or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Australia is not currently the subject of an EU “adequacy decision.” Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA/UK, we take steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) or another lawful transfer mechanism, as required by the GDPR.
8. How we keep your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including secure hosting, access controls, and encryption where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately if a data breach occurs.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as required to meet legal, accounting or tax obligations. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
10. Your rights
You have rights over your personal information. These include the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
- opt out of marketing communications at any time.
If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the right to:
- request erasure of your information (“right to be forgotten”);
- request that we restrict or object to our processing;
- request data portability (receive your data in a portable format);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@venrise.com.au. We will respond within the timeframes required by law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at contact@venrise.com.au so we can try to resolve it.
- Australia: If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
- EU/EEA/UK: You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
12. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
